Forever Night – a poem
The Blue Raven

What darkness possesses this night,

what evil cup has offered me this night,

I know not.

My cries go unheard,

my tears go unchecked,

and I crumble into dust.

Oh, cruel night, end this darkness,

tear down this wicked veil,

and let me suffer no more.

Rescue me, O whisper of creation,

lead me to freedom,

and let my lips taste the kiss of morning light.

The End
